Products and services

Festo - partner to the Oil & Gas industry Festo complete range of automation solutions apply to all areas - from upstream drilling through midstream to downstream, both in process control and in the conditioning and provision of utilities. The focus of development is meeting the high demands of the industry, hazardous, corrosive and high reliability, but also looking to the future of digitized automation and the IoT and I4.0. For OTC 2019, Festo is showcasing product releases that will decrease equipment fabrication time, increase service reliability, and supply real time performance data of the automation. Focused on the areas of process control and utilities, innovations are in the areas of valve terminals, valve actuation, air supply quality and digitized pneumatics. The goal of Festo is to become a partner to the industry to solving the most challenging automation applications facing our customers.
VTUG Pilot Valve Terminal

The pilot valve terminal VTUG has numerous communication and mounting variants with discrete or fieldbus communications, including Profinet, Ethernet/IP and IO Link. It carries most global explosion protection certifications.

An innovation by design, VTUG can be easily mounted inside a cabinet on the wall with a bulkhead interface and maintain all cabinet approvals. The result is a smaller cabinet, less leakage points and quicker fabrication time.

MS Series Air Supply

Operators who need high process reliability and availability from their equipment have to start right at the beginning – by taking a critical look at their compressed air supply. Particles, water and oil are the natural enemies of prepared compressed air.

With Festo’s Air Preparation units pressure, flow rate and consumption will always be in the green zone: thanks to integrated monitoring functions.

Control Cabinets & Utility Panels

Build it yourself or have it built: it’s your decision.

But we can give you good reasons to decide in favor of “having it built”. We design, fabricate, test and deliver control cabinets for process control or utility panels according to UL or CE allowing your team to focus on its core competence. Our global footprint in 185 countries means your designs can easily be replicated by Festo globally as your market evolves.

News & Innovations

VTEM - Festo Motion Terminal
Pneumatics is a simple technology often used for the control of fingerboards in Oil & Gas. The VTEM from Festo now makes this simpler, more versatile and safer – moving pneumatics into the age of Internet 4.0. The VTEM is an innovation that utilizes Motion Apps to define valve function. These apps allow a traditional pneumatic valve to now have proportional, control, feedback and energy conservation elements. At OTC 2019, Festo will release a white paper and have a working demo of the VTEM controlling fingerboards in a innovative way. A single valve slice can replace the traditional solenoid valve and sensors on the fingerboard actuator. By monitoring and modeling air flow, the VTEM can accurately report the current position of the latch. By moving from tradition sensors to the VTEM, you can reduce expensive component costs high on the rig and reduce service time and risk, while gaining new critical information.
